Some new tools that I’ve acquired for the latest project.

A while ago I bought the Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig® 520PRO with Pocket-Hole Screw Starter Kit and used it on a couple of projects. Now I’m hooked on Kreg products!

For an upcoming project there is a requirement to breakdown sheets of 4×8 plywood into component parts. This has always been a problem in my basement shop with the radial arm saw. There just is not enough space to feed a full plywood sheet into the saw which would require a bare minimum of 16′, more like 20′. Not to mention the awkwardness of trying to handle the sheet by my self. So some aids are needed.

Another option is free-handing a cut with a skill saw or using some sort of guide. Free handing rarely turns out well when you are cutting for precision furniture projects. So, a guide of some sort helps the cut a lot.
First up is the Kreg Rip-Cut. This tool will take my skill saw and allow me to rip pieces up to 24″

Next, to do some cross cutting there is the Kreg Accu-Cut.
